1. Summary
POPX is a digital subscription product. We want you to be happy with it — if it’s not what you expected and you haven’t actually used the software, we’ll refund you. Read on for the specifics by billing path.
2. Direct billing (Paddle)
For subscriptions purchased on popx.tools, Paddle.com Market Limited is the merchant of record and processes all refunds.
14-day window
- You may request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase, provided you have not downloaded a POPX
.toxrelease file during that period. - For renewals (months 2 onward, or year-2 onward for annual plans), refunds are at our discretion. Cancel before the renewal date to avoid being charged.
- Refunds for annual subscriptions purchased more than 14 days ago are reviewed case-by-case and may be issued pro-rata for the unused full months remaining, minus any months in which you downloaded an update.
How to request
Email support@popx.tools from the email address on your account. Include your Paddle order number (visible on your receipt). We aim to respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method by Paddle, typically within 5–10 business days.
3. Patreon-bridged accounts
If your POPX access is granted via your Patreon Advanced-tier pledge, all billing, refunds, and chargebacks are handled by Patreon under Patreon’s refund policy. We do not collect or process payment for Patreon-bridged accounts and cannot issue refunds for Patreon pledges.
To cancel or request a refund for your Patreon pledge, manage it from your Patreon account settings or contact Patreon support directly.
4. EU / UK consumers — right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts.
POPX is digital content delivered electronically. By starting your subscription and downloading any POPX release file, you expressly request immediate access and acknowledge that you lose the statutory right of withdrawal for that release once the download has begun, in line with Art. 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU and the equivalent UK regulations.
If you have not started any download within 14 days of purchase, your statutory right of withdrawal is unaffected and we will refund you in full on request.
5. Refunds we cannot offer
- Refunds where evidence shows the POPX
.toxfile (or its contents) has been redistributed, mirrored, or shared in violation of the Terms of Service. - Refunds for Patreon pledges (handle these via Patreon).
- Refunds for issues caused by TouchDesigner itself, by unsupported TouchDesigner builds, or by hardware/driver problems on your system. See section 6 of the Terms.
- Refunds for partial months on monthly plans after the renewal date has passed.
6. Failed transactions and double charges
If you were charged twice or charged in error, contact support@popx.tools with the order number(s). These are always refunded in full.
7. Chargebacks
Please email us first before initiating a chargeback — it’s almost always faster to resolve directly. Chargebacks filed without first contacting us, on accounts that have downloaded POPX, may be disputed by Paddle on our behalf.
