SUMMARY

Typography builds text with the Text POP's letterforms and cuts it into pieces, one packed point per character, word, line or all of the text, carrying the piece's position, rest frame and bounds. Every POPX operator after it moves the letters, and the glyph geometry follows.

All Text POP parameters are on the operator (font, size, tracking, alignment, word wrap, extrusion, color), or wire in a Text POP of your own. Pivot places each packed point at the centroid, the baseline or the bounds bottom, Keep Spaces keeps ids aligned to the string for letter-by-letter falloff animation, and Visualize Pieces colors each piece for checking.

[+]Connectivity	Connectivity	Determines whether the glyphs are output as triangles or line strips.
Bridge Holes	Bridgeholes	Bridges holes between interior and exterior line strips for glyphs with holes. Only available for Line Strips.
[+]Mode	Mode	Controls whether the contents are taken from the Text parameter or from a Specification DAT/CHOP.
Text	Text	The string of text to create as geometry.
Specification DAT	Specdat	A path to a Table DAT that is the source of the text data when in Specification mode.
Specification CHOP	Specchop	A path to a CHOP that provides the text entries and their placement. Channels named tx, ty or tz position the text.
Scale Font To BBox Height	Scalefonttobboxheight	Scale the font's vertical size so it's based on the vertical bounding box of the font.
[+]Break Language	Breaklang	Language rules used for line breaks when Word Wrap is on.
[+]Reading Direction	Readingdirection	Use to set whether the language reads Left to Right or Right to Left.
Word Wrap	Wordwrap	When checked text is automatically line wrapped once it takes up the space set in Word Wrap Size parameter below.
Word Wrap Size	Wordwrapsize	Determines the amount of 3D space used before the line wraps.
Smart Punctuation	Smartpunct	Enables the use of smart punctuation. For example, pairs of quotes will be replaced with appropriate angled quotes.
Level Of Detail	Levelofdetail	Controls the quality of the text's shape by adding/removing subdivisions to the geometry.
[+]Font	Font	Select the font for the text from this drop down menu. All fonts are provided by the OS, any TrueType font that is loaded into the OS can be used.
Font File	Fontfile	Specify any TrueType or OpenType font file (.ttf, .otf file) to use for the text. When using a font file, the Font menu above is disabled.
[+]Typeface	Typeface	Select a specific typeface for the current font e.g. Bold, Regular, Italic, etc.
Font Size	Fontsize	Sets the font size. The font size defines the distance from the baseline to the top of the layout box for the given font.
Keep Font Ratio	Keepfontratio	Ignores Y value in Font Size. Sets both X and Y size to Font Size X.
Tracking	Tracking	Sets the extra spacing between characters.
Line Spacing	Linespacing	Sets the extra space added between lines of text.
[+]Align X	Alignx	Sets the horizontal alignment.
[+]Align Y	Aligny	Sets the vertical alignment.
[+]Font Color	Fontcolor	The color of the text.
Font Alpha	Fontalpha	The blending value used to display the text. 1 is opaque while 0 is transparent.
Extrude	Extrude	Extrude each glyph. Only enabled when set to Triangles.
Extrude Depth	Extrudedepth	Sets the depth of the extrusion.

[+]Piece	Piece	Determines what each packed point holds: one character, one word, one line, or all of the text.
Keep Spaces	Keepspaces	When on, spaces and empty lines are kept as packed points so ids match the string.
[+]Pivot	Pivotmode	Determines where the packed point sits: at the Centroid, the Baseline or the Bounds Bottom.
Visualize Pieces	Visualizepieces	Display each piece with a unique color.
Visualization Seed	Visualizationseed	Numerical value that initializes the random piece colors.
