Waveform Falloff

falloffs/waveform-falloff·v1.5.1
IN:1  OUT:1

Waveform Falloff runs a sine, square, triangle or sawtooth wave along a per-point driver: an attribute, the point index, the distance to a center for rings, or the position along an axis for bands. Frequency, Phase, Range, Amplitude and Offset shape the wave, Normalize Driver makes Frequency the number of cycles across the whole geometry, and Use Rest Attribute keeps the pattern fixed on deforming geometry.

Time Varying moves the wave at Speed cycles per second, and Fade ramps it in or out over time, optionally looping, for pulses and reveals. The shared remap, combine and preview controls match the rest of the falloff family, and chaining several Waveform Falloffs with Add or Multiply composes more complex waves.

GroupGroupIf there are input groups, specifying a group name in this field will cause this POP to act only upon the group specified.
Use Rest AttributeUserestattrEnable sampling the noise at the rest position, which keeps it stable under deformation.
Normalize DriverNormalizedriverFits the driver to the 0 to 1 range over all points, so Frequency is the number of cycles across the geometry.
Pulse WidthPulsewidthThe part of each cycle the square wave is high, from 0 to 1.
FrequencyFrequencyThe number of cycles per unit of the driver.
PhasePhaseOffsets the wave along the driver, in cycles.
AmplitudeAmpThe noise values amplitude (a scale on the values output).
OffsetOffsetAdds an offset to the resulting value.
PAGETime
Time VaryingTimevaryingEnable moving the wave over time.
SpeedSpeedThe number of cycles the wave moves per second.
Restart FadeRestartfadeStarts the fade again from now.
Fade StartFadestartThe delay from the start of the fade, in seconds. The fade starts when Fade is changed or Restart Fade is pulsed.
Fade LengthFadelengthThe duration of the fade, in seconds.
Loop FadeLoopfadeEnable repeating the fade.
Loop LengthLooplengthThe time between the starts of two fades, in seconds.
